The
environment and the people of the caribbean:
We believe in the respect of Nature through every action of the day.
Light use of fresh water, we recycle what we can, and are conscious
that no trash goes overboard. We tread lightly on the islands, being
aware of the fragile and wonderful ecosystems of the reefs. With respect
for the local people, we reach out and help when we can. We ask the
crew to voluntarily bring a bag of items to give away: used sneakers,
summer clothes for adults or kids, and whatever you feel may be enriching
for people living a simple life in remote and beautiful places. We discourage
plastic items that will never decompose. We are first and foremost,
into having you enjoy your trip and have the most fun possible.
A
typical day/night:
After breakfast we either sail to another island or stay and explore
where we are at. Passage sailing between big islands may take 6 to 8
hours or more. Passage between small islands will take no longer than
a few hours of sailing. Exploring includes: hiking and waterfalls, visiting
villages on some islands, Visit at Tobago Keys: 2 or 3 days not sailing,
beach combing, deserted island visit, snorkeling unique reefs ( Manta
rays, nursing sharks, sea turtles, barracudas, reef fish, parrot fish,
clown fish, surgeon fish. angel fish, etc). At night we will mostly
be at anchor or mooring in a sheltered bay. Off the beaten path moorings
possible. We plan for each day and night to be different. We listen
to your requests and suggestions to make plans for the day.
